The Palestinian Electric Company was the first to be registered as the electricity provider company in Palestine. The company, supported by PNA, individual investors, private companies and a credit line from the Arab Bank, started in 1999 in Gaza with a capital of & 60 million.
PEC is the only provider for electricity in Gaza, as stated in the contract with the PNA. The company works on having active role in the Palestinian social and economic development and it is committed to be transparent with the public.
