The Palestine Exchange announced that the Fourth Annual Palestinian Capital Market Forum, entitled "Investor Relations: An Effective Practice to Mitigate Crisis", will be held on Tuesday, 9 November 2010 at the Moevenpick Hotel in Ramallah, Palestine. The forum hosts distinguished IR experts from the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the Middle East. The forum is held under the auspices and participation of H.E. Dr. Salam Fayyad, Palestinian Prime Minister for four consecutive years. Forum activities will commence at 14:00 with the official opening session including formal speech by H.E. Dr. Fayyad, speech by Mr. Maher Al-Masri, Chairman of the Capital Market Authority and speech by Dr. Rami Al-Hamdallah, Chairman of the Palestine Exchange. Keynote speaker for the following session is Mr. James Martin, General Manager of Middle East and Africa at Nasdaq OMX. Mr. Martin will address the challenges of the exchange industry given the prevailing market conditions. Mr. Ahmad Aweidah, Chief Executive Officer of PEX will introduce investor relations in Palestine and moderate presented papers including; what it takes to develop an effective investor relations strategy presented by Mrs. Claire Fargeot, IR partner in Buchanan Communications and leading IR specialist in the UK, the role and influence of investor relations in attracting new investors by Mr. Frank Ford, the Director of Capital Precision in the UK, best practices in investor relations and their impacts on market perception by Mrs. Miranda Lane, Managing Director of Finance Talking Ltd in the UK. Finally Mr. Bashar Zakaria, Emerging Market Advisor/Analyst and Finance Professor with California State University & Retirement System in the USA, will explain how to communicate with investors during crisis & turmoil.
