The Periodic survey of the Palestinian central bureau of statistics that was distributed yesterday indicated a marked decline in the activity of the Palestinian hotels during the second quarter of this year. The second quarter had witnessed a drop in major indicators compared with the second quarter of 2010, where occupancy rate of the rooms fell by 28%, and the number of guests also dropped by 6%, while compared with the first quarter of 2011; the room occupancy rates fell 18%, while the number of nights increased by 16%.
