Staff Salaries on September 5th

The government confirmed that the salaries would be paid off in full the first week of September and that the arrears will be disbursed in accordance with the available cash flow in the government after the transfer of the Palestinian Authority’s tax dues from Israel . The Minister of Media, Dr. Riad Almalki estimates that payday will be on the fifth of next month and the proportion of the receivables that will be disbursed will be determined directly after payday. Almalki pointed out that the delay in the payment of salaries was due to the fact that Israel will not transfer arrears for the Palestinian National Authority before the second or third of September. After the government meeting yesterday Almalki pointed out that the government remains fully committed to pay dues to the public sector but the reality of these receivables is the availability of cash to the government. The priority is to pay salaries and a percentage of receivables, but mostly it will be available to enable us to have the liquidity to pay a portion of those dues. Meanwhile, the government has decided to direct the separation of staff declared their commitment not including those issued by government decisions and a week from today, where the decision included government employees who stopped paying their salaries because of a "lack of commitment to legitimacy."
Maliki said : We had an earlier decision to stop the salaries of employees who fail to abide by the legitimacy, and after two months of this resolution the government decided to move to a second punishment is dismissal from work each employee is not bound legitimacy within a week of that date.
