Ahmad Al Fahd Al Sabah hopes the completion of the deal within days

Al Ayyam Newspaper: The Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Fahd Al-Sabah expressed yesterday the hope that the completion of the partnership between the Palestinian Telecommunication Group and The Kuwait ZAIN will be within days.
Al Fahed who heads the Asian Olympic Council visited the Palestinian territories to participate in the celebrations of Jerusalem as the capital of Arab culture for 2009.
Al Fahd said in response to a question of Al Ayyam Newspaper during a luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, that he had discussed the deal with President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister and added "I did find except understanding and welcoming to complete the transaction at the soonest opportunity; (which opens the road) to the announce the Kuwaiti investments in Palestine".  
He added:" We hope that the deal will see the light in the near future within God willing within days, after the putting the conditions that preserve the rights and revenues of the Palestinian side (in keeping with) its transparency, and by this will be  new investments and new income".
Al Fahad said: "Kuwait has always been one of the first investors in the Arab States. This is a great deal by the Kuwaiti private sector to invest in Palestine".
