Palestine Securities Exchange: 6 companies disclose their semiannual results

Ramallah- Palestine securities exchange received the revised semiannual financial results as of 30/06/2009 for the following companies: The Vegetable Oil Industries Company (VOIC), Al Mashriq Insurance Company (MIC), National Cartoon Industry (NCI), Bank of Palestine (BOP), Nablus Surgical Center (NSC) and Palestine Plastic Industries (LADAEN). The applied disclosing system gives the listed companies a period of a month and a half to announce the financial results of the second quarter for the current year.  

The Vegetable Oil Industries Company (VOIC): the semiannual financial results included: (a revision report for the semiannual financial statements) signed by the external auditors, the balance sheet, the comprehensive income statement, cash flows statement, in addition to disclosures about the statements. The company"s results indicated a net income of JD 576763 comparing to JD 1003291 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached JD 11020554 after they were JD 10884484 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached JD 2833393 after they were JD 3275816 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity rose from JD 7608668 on 31/12/2008 to reach JD 8187161 as of 30/06/2009. Al Mashriq Insurance Company (MIC): The company"s results indicated an after tax income of $ 916566 comparing to a loss of $ 718020 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached $ 21824049 after they were $ 14688134 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached $ 18947370 after they were $ 14533666 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity rose from $ 154468 on 31/12/2008 to reach $ 2876679 as of 30/06/2009. National Cartoon Industry (NCI): The Company"s results indicated a net loss of JD 54800 comparing to an income JD 74999 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached JD 4334566 after they were JD 4189858 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached JD 720732 after they were JD 517629 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity dropped from JD 3672229 on 31/12/2008 to reach JD 3613834 as of 30/06/2009. Bank of Palestine (BOP): It is considered the first bank to disclose its results, the bank"s results indicated a net income of $ 13168161 comparing to net income of $ 11354114 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the bank"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached $ 1177050200 after they were $ 1045032912 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached $ 1039346434 after they were $ 921863039 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity rose from $ 123169873 on 31/12/2008 to reach $ 137703766 as of 30/06/2009. Nablus Surgical Center (NSC): The Company"s results indicated a net income of JD 126387 comparing to JD 10910 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached JD 4552762 after they were JD 4310350 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached JD 1308827 after they were JD 1192802 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity rose from JD 3117548 on 31/12/2008 to reach JD 3243935 as of 30/06/2009. Palestine Plastic Industries (LADAEN): The Company"s results indicated a net loss of JD 256566 comparing to a net loss of JD 184169 in the first half of the year 2008. As for the company"s total assets on 30/06/2009 they reached JD 5371367 after they were JD 5395793 on 31/12/2008. Total liabilities reached JD 889567 after they were JD 657627 on 31/12/2008. Shareholders" equity dropped from JD 4738166 on 31/12/2008 to reach JD 4481800 as of 30/06/2009
