Dr. Hassan Abu Libdeh, executive chief president of the
Palestine securities exchange (PSE), said yesterday that there are good opportunities for the Palestinian IT companies to work at the Arab capital markets and at other emerging countries especially that they suffer a lack of software.
Dr. Abu Libdeh was speaking at a workshop entitled "Financial markets technologies: Development prospects and opportunities. The workshop was organized by Palestine Information Technology Association "PITA" in Al Bireh.
He added that the financial markets systems are expensive and unavailable in the growing countries therefore there is a possibility to develop new software and solutions for these markets. We as a PSE care in doing technological revolution in our market"s performance through automating all the operations that are related to the PSE, and we believe that this implies on all market complementary sectors, he added.
Mr. Alaa" El Deen, head of PITA board of directors, assured in the workshop on the importance of the Palestinian IT companies role, especially on the economic level. He praised on the role of the PSE BOD president in supporting the companies in general, and the IT companies in specific.
