Zakarneh after meeting with the Minister of Finance:

Dr. Fayyad promised to examine the issue of half the salary and benefits of staff and civilians

Jenin-Union workers in the Civil Service received a promise from the Minister of Finance Dr. Salam Fayyad yesterday to study the issue of half the salary and benefits of public officials, military and civilians and fix this issue within the next few days. This was claimed  by Mr. Bassam Zakarneh chairman of the Union in the Civil Service.  Mr. Zakarneh stated." We received assurances of continued commitment of the Minister of Finance regarding payment of full salary and all benefits." Dr. Fayyad promised study this matter with the director general of salaries in the next few days and studies the possibility of a full salary  or a supplement percentage of what is owed.
