Al-Quds Index stands-still with the end of July

With the end of July, the trading pace in Palestine Stock Exchange PEX didn’t differ than the trading pace in the previous weeks. Whereby, it is still quiet and weak regarding the price movements. While the performance of one listed stock didn’t exceed any other. Where, Al-Quds Index traded in a relatively narrow range, standing still without any change than the previous week. On the other hand, the anticipation increases for the semi-annual financial data disclosures, whereby, the next days are expected to witness momentum in this regard especially with the approaching end of the legal granted period to disclose the semi-annual data with mid-August.

In the same context, the listed companies started to disclose their financial and operational data for H1 2026, whereby, Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications OOREDOO was the first to disclose its data, noting posting net income of $7.89 million in H1 2026, compared to net income of $7.48 million in H1 2025. This mainly resulted from an increase in the company’s revenues. Based on the disclosed figures, OOREDOO record book value of $1.05, and P/BV of 1.71x.

Regarding the economic indicators and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS, exports increased in May 2026 by 25% compared to May 2025 and reached $193.3 million. Also, imports increased in May 2026 by 18% compared to May 2025 and reached $719.7 million. While the trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed an increase in trade deficit by 15% in May 2026 compared to May 2025 and reached $526.4 million.

Regarding the economic indicators and according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS as well, the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank reached 120.93 with a decrease of 0.22% during June 2026 compared with May 2026 (base year 2013). Also, the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank reached 119.73 with a decrease of 0.20% during June 2026 compared with May 2026 (base year 2013).
